M&D, plus Mappowder 313

The achievement William Dartmouth values most in his first term as an MEP (2009-2014) was to have been instrumental (in part) in getting two constituents released from prison in Budapest, Hungary, where they had been jailed because of the iniquitous European Arrest Warrant (EAW). The Coalition Government are opting back in to the European Arrest Warrant later this year.

William made 266 speeches and tables 554 questions. These helped expose the scandal of what the EU calls ‘Pre-Accession Funding’ that represents the very large sums of money given to countries – the so-called candidate countries – who are not even EU member states. Turkey alone is given almost a billion euros a year. The objective website www.mepranking.eu placed him 4th most active of the 73 UK MEPs.

William also wrote a Trade Report ‘Out of the EU, into the World’ that he intends to expand further in the next term.

He says: “It is our opponents who are the Little Englanders.”
