William Dartmouth MEP at the recent commemoration of the 100 year anniversary of the Armenian Genocide questioned why the proposed inclusion of Turkey into the EU was being supported by the Conservative and Labour Party’s in Britain (Weds 15th April).

Speaking in Brussels, William cited Turkey’s unsuitability due to undemocratic values; the non-apology for the Armenian Genocide, 21 journalists held in jail, and state controls on internet usage.

UK Conservative Party representative Sajjad Karim was questioned for his party’s support of Turkey’s inclusion, which is costing over £4 BILLION in accession money.
