The situation has attracted some-what mixed media coverage. The situation is like this: 1) The Flags around our Harbours and Seafronts During the Queen's Golden Jubilee Celebrations all the flags, which were previously from many different nations, were replaced with UK flags. The celebrations are now over and we will be returning to the previous multi-nation flags. 2) The 2 Flags on the Town Hall The UK flag is a permanent feature of the Town Hall and was never going to be replaced or rotated - no even for one second. The St. George's Cross (English Flag) on the Town Hall has a long tradition in Torbay of being rotated with other flags, and this will now include the EU flag. There is nothing more or nothing less to this issue. I hope this helps - but if you have any specific points then please feel free to contact me again, Best wishes, Chris Harris Leader of Torbay Council > -----Original Message----- > From: AdrianRomilly@aol.com [SMTP:AdrianRomilly@aol.com] > Sent: Thursday, October 30, 2003 12:48 AM > To: cllr.c.harris@torbay.gov.uk > Cc: chcjc@onetel.net.uk > Subject: EU Flag and Tourism > > CLLR HARRIS, > DON'T OVERLOOK THE FACT THAT THE UK GOV.
